This is the Last Call block from the 99 Modern Blocks book. I used Kona solids charm packs in Classics, Brights and Darks and tried to randomize all the colors. Oh, and I also enlarged the pattern piece from the book to 143% so that the 5 inch charms were the perfect size.
This finishes each block at 18 inches, rather than 12.5 inches.
Now I have to figure out how I want to quilt it...any thoughts? I actually have another 3 blocks I could add to make it a 3x4 rectangular lap quilt, but I didn't add them on once I saw it as a 3x3 square. I have a really huge wall in our living room that begs for a wall hanging...wonder if this might work.

That is SO pretty! I love the bright colors. :) Very inspiring. One of these days I'm gonna take up quilting.
this looks fantastic Kristen! I bet it would be super striking on the wall
Oh it's just stunning! Thank you so much for sharing this. I haven't seen a whole quilt made from this block and I just LOVE how you did it.
This is amazing--the colors are gorgeous. I agree, it would look beautiful displayed.
You HAVE to show off something that beautiful - so cool! My son wants a quilt for his 12th birthday (since his baby "b" is practically in shreds) and I'm trying to figure out how to finish it in 2 weeks - ack! I assure you it'll be nothing this awesome :)
P.S Did you see that there is a new thrift store opening on the 25th over by Aldi? So excited!!
Oh, that is MAGNIFICENT! I have that book and now you've made me want to try out that block! :D
Love all the bright Kona colours!
This is awesome! I've never done any piecing with curves :( Looks like fun! For quilting, the piecing speaks for itself, so maybe a spiral in the circles (from the middle and going out, then for the part around the circles, just an outline (not quite in the ditch).
I love it!
All those colours they look soooo good together.
Well done you.

I made a similar one, well I've made a few, actually! I love circles. This one, for quilting, came to mind.
