Sewn on Saturday:: Quilted Coin Purse

Saturday, May 1, 2010

I'm pretty sure this floral cotton is my go-to fabric.  I found yards of it in my mom's stash a while ago, and have since used it for birds, crayon rolls, a host of other small projects, and now a coin purse.

Just the right size to carry my essentials:

phone
van key
orbit spearmint gum
cover girl lipslick in hipster

Do you have a special satchel just for the essentials?

lovely, I am in the process of sorting through my sewing kit and found some fab fabric from years ago, I am looking at it and trying to figure out if it should be a quilt, a pillow or a dress. Now following, just adore your blog.

I love it Kristen! I had my daughter make me a mini purse out of a fabric placemat I got at a garage sale. I needed it to hold my cell phone, inhaler, lip stick, and most often used credit cards....it works great! I don't lose my small things in my purse any more...unless I am too lazy to put them back in my mini purse =)

As soon as we get a sewing maching, this will be one of our first projects. I just wanted to say I enjoy your posts. When asked to nominate some blogs I read for the sunshine award. I thought of you. You can check it out at my blog.

It's cute, but I need something a little bigger.
